Our Story

In 2011, Venkatesh started Govinda's Gaushala with a single cow named Gauri, driven by his deep love for these gentle beings. With careful nurturing and dedication, the small sanctuary grew year after year into a cherished haven for cows.

By 2024, the gaushala flourished with forty cows, transforming Venkatesh's dream into a thriving sanctuary.

Venkatesh and his dedicated team of 6 people work tirelessly to ensure the well-being of every cow at Govinda's Gaushala — from feeding and healthcare to daily operations.

Our Mission

The mission of Govinda's Gaushala is to provide a safe and nurturing home for cows, promoting their well-being. We aim to inspire compassion within the community and foster a peaceful environment for both animals and people.

We provide proper nutrition, regular veterinary care, and clean shelters while creating a loving environment for each cow. In the coming years, we plan to focus on rescuing abandoned and injured cows and giving them a healthy life.

Help Us Expand Our Gaushala

We plan to introduce more Indian breeds and build additional homes. We expect the herd to grow from 40 now to 75 by the end of 2025, cross 100 by 2026, and eventually go beyond 250.
